The Story (Please read the plot somewhere else)
Surviving in a soundless environment is kinda impossible but this movie is a hell of experience. Watching it in a cinema with full of people, but you can hear a simple whisper on the other end of the theater, that's how ridiculously silent this movie experience was. I must say, this was my very first time to watch a movie that even eating popcorn is not even advisable inside the cinema.

There's a scene that made me cry but I need to contain my emotion and would not inhale-exhale too much because they all can hear me because of silence.

The Actors
They're all good. Specially when I found out that the actress playing deaf in the movie is a real-life deaf. No wonder she's that good. Of course, the parents of the kids are real-life-couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski.

Gosh..
I got bothered with the nail. I know it was meant to be there to add challenge but that made me feel like ugh..

Verdict
I love it! Satisfied! When you go out the cinema, you can now take a big breath and talk again.

Love You to the Stars and Back [2017]

Starring:
Julia Barretto as Mika
Joshua Garcia as Caloy

Written and Directed by: Antoinette Jadaone
The Story
This is not a typical love story. This is the kind of story that might happened to one of a million people but still could relate to the characters.

Not the runaway daughter because she still not over the passing of her mother and her father is now happy with another woman. But about longing for someone you love most and think that the only person that could understand you simply because you are blocking other people to be part of your life, even your dad.

And of course, not because of having cancer that you might die anytime soon but because of longing for someone that you think a missing piece of you and in hopes of meeting your dad and have some quality time but only to find out that everything that your warned you about was true.

I still didn't get the title though.

The Actors
Joshua Garcia is so natural in acting. To be honest, he really can deliver.

I really think Carmina Villaruel’s role was big because she’s part of the trailer but she’s the epitome of “there’s no small role” as what the actors always say. But in fact, this movie also showed that there’s really “small roles” for not even having a line to deliver but because they’re recognized actors, like Paolo Angeles and Joaquin Reyes, they still got the starring credits. Maybe during shoot, they got lines but during the edits, the writter/director realized that those were not necessary and won't affect to storyline. Sad reality of making a film.

What I’ve Noticed
They never run out of gas. The heck!? They’ve been traveling (driving) from early morning til almost midnight, but not a single time to stop and refill for a gas ⛽️. Hmmmp

Note to gasoline boy/attendant
Please don’t wake up the sleeping driver for the sake of your parking space. By doing so, you definitely can save a life. We all know that a sleepy head is one of the causes of road accidents. Sleeping in the gasoline station is the safest place than in hi-way specially for a lady. So please, please..

Verdict
I liked it. It was a feel good movie. Take aways are realizing that there are people around you who loves you unconditionally that you might ignored for the longest time because you’re longing for someone who's not around anymore.

2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten [2016]

Starring:
Khalil Ramos as Felix Salonga
Ethan Salvador as Magnus Snyder
Jameson Blake as Maximilian "Maxim" Snyder
Ana Capri as Demetria

Directed by: Petersen Vargas
The title of the blog is "My Opinion or Review" but to be honest, this is more on opinion than review. I was told that I need to put everything in English for me to not limit my readers to Filipino speaking audience (as if I have readers, duh), but okay, fine, from now on, I'll try to write in English even though there will be wrong spelling or wrong grammar, who cares? Right? I just saw Katy (Christian LeBlanc's girlfriend) that at first, she's so shy in speaking in English (because she's Spanish) and she even describe it as "horrible" but look at her now? She's very confident now and I love her accent (ya know, the Spanish accent? Like the ever gorgeous Sofía Vergara).

Enough with this intro. This all about the Filipino indie film "2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten", a directorial debut of Petersen Vargas and written by Jason Paul Laxamana. An official entry to 12th Cinema One Originals Film Festival (2016) and won 3 awards: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Jameson Blake), Best Cinematography (Carlos Mauricio). It also won another awards in 27th Young Critics Circle Awards (2017) as Best First Feature and in 32nd Lovers Film Festival - Torino LGBTQI Visions (2017) as Audience Choice Award.

The Story
It evolves around the mysterious coming-of-age tale of Felix (Khalil Ramos) after he met half-American Snyder brothers, Magnus (Ethan Salvador) and Maxim (Jameson Blake).

The best part of the movie for me is the one that they lie down and drunk and ready to sleep, Magnus is just on his sexy boxers, gosh, PLEASE, can we switch places now? Uh! Then Magnus told Felix: "You're my very first friend in the world". Ah, yeah, even if you're just my only friend EVAH.. and can fantasize you all the time, I don't care if you'll be my only friend for a lifetime.
I guess, every gay individual would love to have Magnus to be around even just a friend. The way he treated people, that's how I wanna be treated too (but not those episodes with Maxim). Everyone would fall for Magnus.

The Actors
OMG, after watching this movie, I'm now in love with Ethan Salvador. His character is so lovable. Acting was not that good but I'm convinced, so good enough.

What I've Noticed
Gosh, Magnus and Maxim used dollars as currency but the story is about an abandoned children by their father. How come they still have dollars in them? Okay fine, maybe their father sent them money but no way to received them in dollars specially if they use money transfer service. It's should be converted to Philippine Peso already. Duh!

To be honest, I've heard stories how Kapampangan pronounced words with letter "H" in first vowel pronounced words, for example "internet" becomes "hinternet", but never heard them in a conversational way until this movie.

Verdict
I liked it!
